New Business

Marketing
  • Holiday Marketing Wrap-up
  • Request for ad set-aside
  • Jenna presented info/ads. Off and on there are last minute opportunities on the weather page with great visibility. Set aside $250 for ad on weather page only if it coincides with a promotion period for the Task Force. Motion to approve by Eris; seconded by Hal.
  • Super Bowl marketing campaign- Bob will distribute stickers to local pizza and sandwich shops. Jenna will send out a press release. The cost was $99.00
  • Articles and Radio
  • Stephen Scott submitted an article containing arguments for tougher DUI laws, penalties and zero tolerance.  
  • Montana Woman magazine will run the article Jenna wrote on Cherie in their April issue.
  • Jeff discussed a radio show Jenna coordinated on GAP radio and possible topics including: Citation rates, statistics and how they change over time, primary seat belt law, how much is too much. Date and time of show TBD.  
Other projects
  • Jenna and Stephen are interviewing everyone associated with interlock systems to gather information.
  • Streamline Update, Paul O’Brien, ASMSU.  
  • Numbers were down last semester due to lack of advertising and drivers not following correct route
  • Ran 2 buses on New Year’s Eve, lots of riders
  • Jenna reminded streamline rep that the DUI task force needs a letter from ASMSU recognizing funding from the Task Force in order for that funding to be processed.
Legislative
  • A brief discussion of DUI-related bills before the legislature.
Finances

Lifesavers conference
  • discussed 2 members going.
  • motion for 2 registrations by Christina; second by Paul.
Roundtable with MADD

Jenny Haubenreiser brought a brochure the Task Force funded a year ago in its draft form for input. It will be inserted in City of Bozeman water bills. Discussed upcoming MADD brochure
Force, Scott and Stephen volunteered to review the brochure
